A hearty beef goulash with potatoes, perfect for a comforting meal.


Zutaten

  • 2 lbs Beef Chuck, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 large Onions, chopped
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 2 tbsp Sweet Paprika
  • 1 tbsp Caraway Seeds
  • 1 tsp Marjoram
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper (optional)
  • 6 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 lbs Potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper, chopped
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh Parsley for garnish

Anleitungen

  1. Season beef with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Brown beef in batches and set aside.
  3. Add onions to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, paprika, caraway seeds, marjoram, and cayenne pepper (if using). Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  5. Return beef to the pot. Pour in beef broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 2 hours, or until beef is tender.
  6. Add potatoes and bell pepper to the pot. Continue to simmer, covered, for 30 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
